In about one week a team of five people will travel to Puerto Rico to participate in the ongoing recovery effort begun after Hurricane Maria made landfall on September 20, 2017. The loss of life and the damage to property was catastrophic. Today, there is still about 10% of the island without electricity. We have not been given our work assignment or housing location at the time of the printing of the Adventure Journal. We have been told to prepare to not have any electricity or at best sporadic electricity.<\/p>\n
The team consists of three women and two men. Our team was initially six members, but one of the men had to bow out of the team because of health concerns.
