I was recently honored to speak at the Celebration of Life for a great woman of God.<\/p>\n
Joyce was an encourager, cheerleader, and prayer warrior. At the Celebration of Life Service, more than one person mentioned Joyce\u2019s morning Facebook posts where she would simply write, \u201cGood morning it is Monday (or another day of the week); have a great day.\u201d Every day when a person opened up Facebook, if they were friends with Joyce, they would probably notice this greeting.<\/p>\n
As each person mentioned her daily posts, I was reminded of how easy it is for each of us to brighten someone else\u2019s day with a short greeting. In the early church, we read in Romans 16:16, \u201cGreet one another with a holy kiss.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the Covid-19 times in which we live, these physical greetings of shaking hands, a kiss on the cheek, or a hug have been nixed. Still, the importance of greeting one another and representing Christ\u2019s grace and love shown in our greeting one another is paramount in the present times of distancing and lessening social interactions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
