Ten years ago, my family and I loaded up the truck and moved from Troy to Waterloo where I would be appointed part time as the pastor of Real Life United Methodist Church and part time as the Lead Evangelist and Executive Director of Living the Adventure Ministries. It was an exciting time and a time of wondering what I would be doing and where I would be going in the coming months and years as I followed Christ’s leadership to serve as a missionary and evangelist. The boys ranged in age from nine years old to 17-months, and in our marriage, Nancy and I were moving to our seventh home in nearly eleven years.
Over the past ten years I have been blessed with many people who have come alongside this ministry to partner with me and to prayerfully and financially support our ministry. Each time someone gives a financial gift to Living the Adventure Ministries or someone calls to check my availability for an event, I stand in awe of God’s goodness and mercy being worked out toward me through each of these persons. I believe there are many wonderful days ahead for this ministry and I request your prayers as I continue to seek the Lord’s guidance and vision for this ministry. I never want to become lackadaisical in serving the Lord, and I believe the next ten years will be a blessing as the Holy Spirit works in and through my life. Thank you for your support over the past ten years. My family looks a little different: boys now range in age from 19 years to 11 years and Sarafina is almost three years old. Nancy and I have only moved twice since our move to Waterloo. Thank you for your support and your faithfulness to follow the Lord in your life.
