India

After reading E. Stanley Jones’ spiritual autobiography A Song of Ascents, Matt experienced God’s call for him to pursue ministry within the Christian Ashram ministry. In 2015, Matt traveled for the first time to India as part of a group celebrating the 85th Anniversary of the Sat Tal Christian Ashram. Each year we travel to India on a Discipleship/Study/Tourism trip. There are opportunities to visit different mission sites where education, mental health, and discipleship/evangelism are occurring. Our next trip will tentatively be September 24-October 11, 2024.

Itinerary for India 2024 Mission Trip

Guyana

Living the Adventure Ministries did an exploratory trip in 2022 and will return to Guyana in 2023. Guyana has the highest per capita suicide rate in the world, so our work in 2023 will serve to learn more about mental health. We will also lead an arts camp for children/youth. We are still discerning God’s call for other ministry projects in Guyana and plan to return in 2024.

Haiti

Matt will travel to Malawi in August/September 2023. During this trip, Matt will speak several times and will prayerfully discern the need for a team to travel to Malawi in the future. Consider coming to the Celebration Banquet in Mount Vernon, Illinois on September 23 to hear the report. Or, if you have not already, subscribe to the Riggings Email by clicking here. Matt will provide updates from Malawi as internet is available on the Living the Adventure Ministries Facebook page, as well.

Matt traveled with a team to Zimbabwe in 2014. Matt continues to keep in touch with the leaders in the Zimbabwean church and hopes to return to Zimbabwe in the near future.
