YOU ARE INVITED!!! On Saturday, August 29, the annual Living the Adventure Ministries Celebration Banquet will be at Higher Ground in New Haven, Illinois. This picturesque location provides us the opportunity to allow for indoor and outdoor dining during this time of social distancing and limitations on in-building attendance.
The evening will begin with our meal at 6:00pm. After the meal, Brian and Tracy Orr will share a few songs with us as we make the transition from inside and outside to everyone being outside for the time of sharing. After Brian and Tracy sing, we will share what has been happening in the past year in the life and ministry of Living the Adventure Ministries. I will share our vision for the next year and invite people to consider supporting Living the Adventure in a variety of ways. There will be metalworks from Haiti, T-shirts, books, and jewelry for purchase during the banquet.
If you would like to come early for a time of fellowship and games, there will be a large grassy area set up with yard games (i.e. washers, corn hole, etc) for your enjoyment. These games will be set up to share at 4:30pm.
Everyone is invited to attend and there is no cost.
Higher Ground is located at 1179 County Road 350 North, New Haven, IL 62867. People who are traveling from the north, should head south on Route 1 to Carmi. At the north edge of Carmi, turn on the Epworth/Maunie Road and take the road to where it T’s at Route 141. Turn Right and travel on 141 till you see the sign for Herald Road. Turn right on Herald Road. Higher Ground is on your left as you come to the top of the hill and the curve. Coming from the South on Route 1, you can take Route 141 from Route 1 heading south out of Norris City or from Route 45 south of Norris City. Take 141 till you come to the Herald Road sign. Turn left on Herald Road. Or, you can go to Herald Road just south of Brownsville and travel the curvy road till you arrive to Higher Ground, which will be on your right.
