This trip was a great experience for me. I went into the trip only knowing two people on the trip which definitely put me outside of my comfort zone. I’ve learned through experiences like this that being outside of my comfort zone helps me grow. I made some new friendships while I was in Puerto Rico and strengthened old friendships. It’s always a humbling experience for me to go out into the community and other parts of the world to see how they live. This trip has shown me that I want to continue going on mission trips to different parts of the world to get a glimpse of what their lives are like. Being able to witness first hand how families react after eight months without electricity is something I will never forget. I thank God that everything worked out in his timing to allow us to witness that wonderful time in those families lives. I’m thankful that I was able to be a part of the mission team to Puerto Rico.
