The annual Living the Adventure Ministries Celebration Banquet is Saturday, August 28 in Albion, Illinois. We will be under a tent near the North Parking Lot of the Albion First United Methodist Church (127 E Main Street). Everyone is invited to attend an afternoon and evening packed with ministry opportunities, great food, learning experiences, and powerful worship.

The day will look a little different than previous Celebration Banquets because we are going to start the day with a Mission Fair beginning at 3pm. This event will feature opportunities for people to help pack food packs that will be sent to various food distribution ministries locally, regionally, and internationally. We are still finalizing the details for this hands-on experience. The Mission Fair will also feature information about different partnerships we have here in the United States and around the world. You will learn about the United Christian Ashrams International Ministry, Faith Comes by Hearing, Papillon Enterprises, and Singing Rooster. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about our ongoing Haiti Ministry and purchase artisan created pieces from Haiti.

Our hope and vision for the Mission Fair is to provide more opportunities for interaction and engagement, while “helping people put their faith into action.” Through the Mission Fair, we hope people will find a place where they can be an active participant in our ongoing, growing domestic and international mission ministry.

At 6pm, the Banquet as you have known it will begin with a fantastic meal (Pork Chops cooked by Leroy Moore, baked potato, vegetable, and dessert). We are still working on finalizing one more item for our menu. The program will follow the meal and we are pleased to have Joyful Noise from Carmi, Illinois join us again this year for a time of worship. Brian and Tracy were able to be with us last year, and we look forward to Jenny joining them as well. After the music, I will share a report of our ministry this past year, some exciting news about our partnership with the United Christian Ashrams International Ministry, and a vision for our next year. You will also learn about how you can support Living the Adventure Ministries in the coming year.

We hope you will be able to join us for the Mission Fair and the Banquet. If you can only make it to one of the two, we still would love to see you. There is no cost for either event, but we would ask you to RSVP if you are coming to the Banquet. We want to make sure we have enough food for everyone. You can RSVP or reach out with any questions by contacting me: (matt@livingtheadventure.net or 618-830-6670).
