We want you to join us on a spiritual pilgrimage to the place that gave birth to the Christian Ashram movement–and also experience the majestic beauty and splendid cultures of India. The United Christian Ashram International Board is hosting a trip to India September 25 through October 11.
The trip will begin with opportunities to see many sites around Delhi including the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, the Parliament House, the India Gate, etc.
We will then travel from Delhi to Jaipur where we will stay one night and enjoy experiencing the Amber Fort, the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar.
After staying two nights in Jaipur, we will head to Agra where we will visit the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal.
After one night in Agra, we will travel to Lucknow where we will have the opportunity to visit several sites that are part of E. Stanley Jones’ story and legacy.
After a stay in Lucknow, we will head to Bareilly to see more Methodist influence in India, including the Clara Swain Hospital and Warne Baby Fold.
After a night’s stay in Bareilly, we will head to the Sattal Christian Ashram where we will join the Winter Session of the Christian Ashram. We will stay at Sattal for seven nights where we will participate in the daily Christian Ashram routine. There will be opportunities to travel into Nainital and other tourist locations while at Sat Tal. Those experiences are not included in the quoted price. Finally, we will head toward Delhi, making a stop at Corbett National Park where we will spend one night and have an opportunity to enjoy a safari tour in open Jeeps. We will return to Delhi to fly back home.
If you would like to stay for a few additional days, there are three different options to extend the trip. Matt Henson will be leading a Mission Experience to Leonard Theological College in Jabalpur where the team will partner with the students and faculty of the college to replace roofs on the Married Housing duplex homes.
Another extension trip possibility would be a tour to South India or Goa or Nepal or Sri Lanka or anywhere after UCA India trip. If you are interested in an extension trip, you would make arrangements with Travel Passion on your own.
Each person who is attending will have to hold a valid Passport and obtain an India Visa. The cost for the inland portion of the trip (hotels, meals, transportation, and gratuities) is $2849 per person. You are responsible to make your own flight arrangements to and from Delhi; and, that is an additional cost. If we are able to get more than 15 participants, the price of our time in India will decrease.
Please review the attached travel plan and feel free to contact me (618-830-6670 or email@example.com), if you have questions and to further discuss the trip.
Jesus is Lord!
